Great idea but she won't touch it!

My puppy won't eat this at all. I have tried so many times and she just won't.not sure why that is. I had very high hopes in it to.

    Great for finicky eaters

Until finding this food, I had a hard time getting my finicky vizsla to eat enough to maintain a healthy weight/energy. This is the first food she will eat in the morning and any time I put it in her bowl. Added bonus - great for taking on backpacking trips.

    My puppy licks her bowl!!

We rescued our little pup pup over a month ago, she is now turning 4 mos. Did some research before hand on nutrition and absolutely knew we wanted to go raw. The rescue had her on kibble and gave us a free bag so we slowly added the frozen raw bites into her kibble! She loved it, and now we are at 75% raw to 25% kibble. Once we complete the kibble we will be 100% raw. These frozen bites are AMAZING during the teething phase!! Now we are slowly introducing the freeze-dried so the we will have more of a temperature stable option since we are actively outdoors most times.

I will say that the only issue we found is finding that the food handlers have not ensured the bags stayed within temperature. We opened a bag here and there and you can tell that the bites have mushed together due to it being defrosted and refrozen. Not the foods fault more of a transport handling problem. But with any raw food, that can be really bad if consumed. With this food being more expensive, its disappointing to lose money in this way. Another reason why we are moving towards freeze-dried.

    Wanted to love this...

Started my puppy on this, but the last several bags smelled of spoiled milk. I bought from different stores, they had different batch numbers, all smelled of spoiled milk/rotten eggs which caused my puppy to become ill.

Side note: my original review never posted....

First few bags were great, but...

The first few bags I bought were great, I almost got my puppy transferred over, so I ordered 3 bags from my local store. All the bags were different in color, smelled a bit different as well. Then my puppy got sick and had super stinky gas. I stopped feeding it, returning the food. I picked up more today at different store, the batch number was also different. Opened those bags and was hit with a sour milk/rotten egg smell. Will be returning those bags too. I really wanted to like this product. I don't know what was changed, but the first few bags were great, and my puppy was doing great on this food.
